Ikea Gets Domain Names Back From Porn Site

A North Carolina man was alleged to be using a variety of domain names that invoked the Ikea brand (e.g.  custom4ikea.com, ikeaaftermarketparts.com, ideaikea.com) in order to steer web traffic to a website that featured so-called adult content. The company, Ikea Systems BV, of the Netherlands filed an objection with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), which ruled in its favor and transferred the names to Ikea. It found the operator of the porn site had no rights or legitimate interests in the Ikea name.
