Psychopath Lawyers Second Only to CEOs

Just one percent of the overall population qualify as psychopaths, but a disproportionate number of those are lawyers, according to a survey by an Oxford psychologist and author. Psychopaths generally make a good first impression and strike observers as normal, but prove to be self-centered, dishonest, and devoid of guilt and empathy. Kevin Dutton, Oxford psychologist and author of The Wisdom of Psychopaths: What Saints, Spies, and Serial Killers Can Teach Us About Success, compiled a list of 10 careers with the most psychopaths, and lawyers were second only to CEOs. Media personalities, surgeons, and clergy made the list as well.
