Former Congressman and Judge Charlie Gonzalez Returns to Ogletree Deakins

Seven-term congressman, former judge, and business leader Charlie Gonzalez returns to private practice with international labor and employment law firm Ogletree Deakins, where he will be based in the firm’s San Antonio office. Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Gonzalez was a senior advisor with VIA Metropolitan Transit. Gonzalez represented Texas’s 20th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1999 to 2013. During his seven terms in Congress, he served on the Committees for Financial Services, Small Business, Homeland Security, House Administration, Judiciary, and Energy and Commerce. Earlier, Gonzalez served as an elected district judge, county court at law judge, and a lawyer in private practice.
