Google Exec To Lead PR Team At Uber

Rachel Whetstone is joining Uber, the ride-sharing startup, as senior vice president of policy and communications, after leaving a similar role leading the public policy and communications unit at Google. Her predecessor, Obama alum David Plouffe, has moved to an advisory role and a board seat at the firm, less than one year after being brought on.
