Concealed Carry Laws And Employer Liability

Concealed weapons can legally be carried in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The liability implications for businesses open to the public and/or managers of those businesses are not yet clear, but it is clear that if a shooting happens on a business’s property the victim is likely to sue for damages. No-gun signs will be a primary issue, but there are conflicting views on how they would impact liability.
