College Athlete Suit Hits Appeals Court

This week a group of athletes challenging their role as unpaid student-athletes in the NCAA’s billion-dollar college sports complex will make their case before an appeals court this week. The NCAA seeks to reverse a district court ruling from last year that would allow student athletes a share of the revenue generated from the use of their names and likenesses. A three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals panel was scheduled to hear arguments on March 17.
