The Investment Adviser Association Promotes Karen Barr To President, CEO, Names Robert Grohowski GC

The Investment Adviser Association announced that Robert Grohowski will become the trade group’s new general counsel, replacing Karen Barr, who now serves as IAA’s president and CEO. Barr, IAA’s longtime general counsel, became the association’s new president and CEO in November, replacing David Tittsworth, who led the association since 1996. Grohowski, who will start at IAA in March, is currently an associate general counsel with the Investment Company Institute (ICI). He previously led the ICI’s International Affairs department.
