When she’s not one-upping massive music streaming service Spotify, singer-songwriter Taylor Swift is snatching up copyrights to her hit songs. Lyrics from her new album, “1989,” like “Party Like It’s 1989,” “This Sick Beat,” and “Nice To Meet You, Where You Been?” have been secured by Swift as trademarks. Her filings claim that Swift owns the trademarks for “public appearances,” “clothing,” and “ornaments,” among other goods and services.
