Mix-Ups At GC, Compliance Staff, At Royal Bank of Scotland

The Royal Bank of Scotland’s general counsel and three other compliance staff members have either left or preparing to leave the bank. Chris Campbell, group general counsel, retired last month after nearly a decade at the bank. John Collins, the R.B.S. deputy general counsel, succeeds Campbell as the company’s top legal officer. He previously worked as general counsel at the Dutch financial services company ABN Amro and as a lawyer at Citigroup.

Carolina Garces-Monterrubio, a former compliance officer for R.B.S. for Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Mary Squire, the former head of sanctions and anti-money-laundering for the Americas, have both departed for HSBC, an HSBC spokeswoman confirmed on Thursday.
