House Set To Roll Back Dodd-Frank Regs

A scathing review of proposed legislation that proponents say would make technical corrections in regulations embodied in the 2010 Dodd-Frank law. According to New York Times financial writer Gretchen Morgenson, what it in fact would do is gut them, or at least take a big step in that direction. Favored by House Republicans, with the title “The Promoting Job Creation and Reducing Small Business Burdens Act,” the law would loosen regulations in three key areas, including disclosures regarding derivatives trading.
