Sony Hires WilmerHale For Employee Privacy Breach Lawsuits

Sony has retained law firm WilmerHale to defend it against a barrage of class action lawsuits filed by employees following the company’s massive data breach. According to The Hollywood Reporter, David C. Marcus, the firm’s vice chair of litigation/controversy, and and Christopher T. Casamassima, both from the Los Angeles office, will represent the studio, along with Boston partners Felicia Ellsworth and William F. Lee and New York partners Noah A. Levine and Alan Schoenfeld. On Nov. 24, Sony’s computers were shut down and personal information on current and former employees was exposed.
