Nebraska, Oklahoma Sue Over Legal Pot In Colorado

In filings with the Supreme Court, the states claim that Colorado’s legalization of marijuana have harmed their ability to enforce state policies against pot. Since marijuana is still illegal under federal law, Colorado is in violation of the supremacy clause of the Constitution, Nebraska and Oklahoma claim in the lawsuit. Colorado Attorney General John Suthers said the suit is without merit, and “we will vigorously defend against it.”
