Man Who Hacked Subway Registers Gets Prison Time

A man who remotely accessed point-of-sale machines at Subway sandwich shops to fill gift cards has been sentenced to 18 months in prison. The man sold the POS machines to 13 Subway restaurants, and then spent three years filling gift cards with more than $40,000 and selling them. Shahin Abdollahi pled guilty to conspiracy to commit computer intrusion and wire fraud.
