Media Giants Ask Appeals Court To Keeps Contracts Secret

Media companies Walt Disney, CBS and Viacom have asked the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals to keep details of their TV contracts secret while regulators review merger proposals. The FCC on Nov. 10 ruled 3-2 that the companies should divulge business dealings as part of a public review of Comcast’s $45 million bid to buy Time Warner Cable, and AT&T’s $48 billion move to buy DirecTV.
