Former SEC GC Geoffrey F. Aronow Named Parter At Sidley Austin LLP

Sidley Austin LLP has added Geoffrey F. Aronow as a partner in the firm’s global Securities & Derivatives Enforcement and Regulatory practice, according to a press release. Aronow will work in the firm’s New York and Washington, D.C. offices. Aronow is a former U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission general counsel and International Affairs chief counsel. He has also worked as the director of the Division of Enforcement at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Aronow’s practice will focus on advising clients regarding CFTC and SEC enforcement issues.
