DOJ’s Tony West Leaving For GC Position At PepsiCo

Tony West, formerly a top official at the Justice Department, will assume the role of general counsel at Pepsico Inc. Larry Thompson, a senior Pepsico official, another top Justice Department official, joined PepsiCo in 2004. After spending more than five years at the Justice Department, including three years as head of the civil division, West leaves behind a legacy of nearly $37 billion in settlements, many of which focused on institutions who played a role in the financial crisis of 2008.
