Letterman Intern Says ‘Beguiling Legion Of Lawsuit-Hungry Lawyers’ Pressed Her To Sue

Less than a week after filing a proposed class action against CBS and David Letterman’s production company, a former intern for the late-night talk show host has withdrawn the suit and apologized, saying she was pressured into filing it by aggressive lawyers. The plaintiff, Mallory Musallam, was reported to have called the her attorneys at the law firm Virginia & Ambinder “a beguiling legion of lawsuit-hungry lawyers. The CBS-Letterman suit was one of a number of high profile intern lawsuits that have been filed in the entertainment industry, with mixed results.
