Patent Suit Filed By Microsoft Co-Founder Revived

A patent lawsuit pitting Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen against AOL, Apple, Google and Yahoo was partially revived this week The patent, for Internet pop-ups, is held by Allen’s Interval Licensing, which filed the suit in 2010. The Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit found a Seattle federal district court had made an “erroneous” interpretation of the patent, and sent the case back for further hearings.
