Politico Executive Editor Richard L. Berke Resigns

Richard L. Berke, the executive editor of Politico, resigned from his position on Sunday, citing a disagreement over strategy with the organization’s founders, John F. Harris and Jim VandeHei. Berke, who had been an assistant managing editor at The New York Times, joined Politico less than a year ago. Bill Nichols, an editor at large, will take over on an interim basis.
