Full Appeals Court To Reconsider Key Obamacare Ruling

The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals has agreed to consider, en banc, a decision that many thought undermined the Obama administration’s health-care law by barring people in states that did not set up their own insurance exchanges from receiving tax credits. A 2-1 decision by a D.C. Circuit panel in July found that low-income residents who buy health insurance through the federal, rather than state, exchanges are not eligible for the tax benefit because the law uses the words “established by the state.
