Late-Year Hike Predicted For Wages

According to a consultant for Bloomberg BNA’s Wage Trend Indicator™ , wages are going to be showing a consistent annualized increase of more than two percent by the end of this year. That’s an increase from the last four quarters, when it varied between 1.7 and 2.1 percent. Larry Swisher, writing for Bloomberg BNA’s Legal and Employment Blog, notes that job creation has been relatively robust recently, with six months of 200,000 plus jobs increase and a steadily falling unemployment rate.
