Merchant & Gould Brings On Attorney William Fortunato

Merchant & Gould, a leading intellectual property law firm, announced today that attorney William Fortunato has joined its Knoxville office. Fortunato recently graduated from the University of Tennessee. Prior to joining Merchant & Gould, Fortunato worked as a technology transfer graduate assistant at the Y-12 National Security Complex, evaluating employee inventions for patentability and commercial applications and developing forms and procedures for the submission of inventions. He also worked as an associate at Pitts & Lake PC in Knoxville, drafting patent applications and continuations-in-part, responding to office actions during patent prosecution, and researching legal arguments.
