The Six Lawsuits That Shaped The Internet

The lawsuits that proved pivotal to shaping the Internet as we know it today are profiled by The Verge. They include Reno v. American Civil Liberties Union, in which the Supreme Court struck down sweeping legislation that would have restricted adult content on the web, and ProCD v. Zeidenberg, which found that clicking “agree” was the equivalent of entering into a legal contract. An intriguing look at how the Internet came to its current form, and how different it would be today if courts had decided differently.
