Homer Simpson Hologram Garners Lawsuit

After Simpson’s creator Matt Groening appeared onstage at ComicCon with a 3D hologram of Homer Simpson, a company called Hologram USA filed a suit against 20^th Century Fox for patent violation. The company has also sued over a hologram of Michael Jackson that appeared at the Billboard Music Awards this year. Hologram USA claims to hold rights to a new version of a 19^th-century stage trick called “Pepper’s Ghost,” and are suing for willful infringement.
