Amalgamated Bank Names Keith Mestrich CEO

Amalgamated Bank has named Keith Mestrich, who has served as the bank’s President since April, as CEO. Before joining Amalgamated in 2012, Mestrich worked in the progressive movement for more than two decades, primarily in leadership roles in financial operations. Mestrich joined Amalgamated in 2012 as Director of its Washington, D.C., office and subsequently served as Chief of Staff and then President. Previously, he was Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Chief of Staff at the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).
