Where Silicon Valley Labor Comes From

A bubble graph breaks down the relative size of the various founts of technical talent that make up the Silicon Valley labor force, and what it reveals will surprise many. Mexico looms large, larger than India or China, and larger than the largest state, which appears to be Texas. It’s a revealing graphic, and the post includes an interesting factoid: In 2012, 51 percent of Silicon Valley worker households spoke a language other than English exclusively at home, compared to a national average of 21 percent.
