Sterling Ends Legal Actions, Agrees To Clippers Sale

Donald Sterling has agreed to sell the Los Angeles Clippers team and will drop his $1 billion antitrust lawsuit against the National Basketball Association, his attorney said on June 4. Sterling, who was banned from the league for life after racist comments he made were recorded and made public, had been considering legal action to thwart the $2 billion sale of the team to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. Sterling leaves the scene with a lot of public ill-will but a massive profit on an organization he acquired in 1981 for $12.5 million.
