Michael Hash Of HHS To Retire

Michael Hash, director of the US Department of Health & Human Services’ Office of Health Reform will retire. Hash has been with the administration since 2009, and was a key figure in implementing the federal healthcare law. In recent weeks, since the Affordable Care Act’s open enrollment period ended, several HHS officials have stepped down. Last month, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced that she was resigning, and Sylvia Mathews Burwell, director of the Office of Management and Budget, was nominated to succeed her. The Obama administration’s top Medicare official, Jonathan Blum, also announced his resignation last month.
