Manhattan U.S. Attorney Office’s Katherine R. Goldstein To Securities Fraud Unit

Katherine R. Goldstein, chief of the general crimes unit of the Manhattan U.S. Attorney’s office, will transition to take a top leadership position in the securities fraud unit, which has recently focused on bringing insider trading cases. Goldstein will take over for Marc P. Berger, co-chief of the unit who is stepping down to join the law firm Ropes & Gray LLP as a partner. Goldstein joined the federal prosecutors’ office in 2004 and was previously a member of the securities fraud task force. Before becoming a prosecutor Ms. Goldstein was an associate at Wilmer, Cutler, Pickering, Hale and Dorr LLP.
