Comcast, Time Warner Merger Hearings Highlight Problems

Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.), was the only Senator who voiced outright opposition, but the hearing on Comcast’s merger with Time-Warner brought out concerns from many sources. Franken says his office received over 100,000 complaints of poor customer service by Time-Warner when it asked for comments, and he wondered if service would get even worse if the two companies became one. Bloomberg News says conditional approval may be in the offing, but the conditions could be pretty strict.
