Hollywood Lawyer Indicted In Campaign Contribution Scandal Joins Greenberg Glusker

Pierce O’Donnell, the litigator indicted in 2008 for illegally funneling campaign contributions to the John Edwards presidential campaign, is joining Greenberg Glusker, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The 2008 charge, that O’Donnell was evading $2,000-per-contributor donation limits by having employees and family members make contributions with the understanding they would be reimbursed, ultimately ended with a six-month suspension. Last year O’Donnell was cleared to practice law again. O’Donnell has a history of taking accounting cases against studios. Greenberg Glusker, whose esteemed attorneys include Bert Fields, Matt Galsor and Bonnie Eskenazi, represent, among others, The Weinstein Co., Jeffrey Katzenberg, the J.R.R. Tolkien estate and Tom Cruise.
