Christopher Jones of JPMorgan to BlackRock Inc. as CIO

BlackRock Inc. has hired Christopher Jones of JPMorgan Chase & Co. as chief investment officer for stocks in the Americas. Jones, CIO for JPMorgan Asset Management’s growth and small-cap U.S. equity team, will join New York-based BlackRock in a few months as head of the active stock unit in the Americas, replacing Chris Leavy, who went on medical leave in June of last year.
