Recent state court rulings in the rapidly evolving field of e-discovery. Among them: the denial of a request for disclosure of Facebook friends in the Western District of New York, and a Southern District of New York decision that said contents of certain data fields in a company’s human resources databases were protected by the attorney-client privilege because the company used the them “to share confidential information with in-house lawyers to assess the legal risks of employee compensation decisions.”
