Rand Paul Sues Obama, NSA, FBI Over Phone Surveillance

Are you an American who has used a phone since 2006? Then you could be a plaintiff in the class-action lawsuit Sen. Ran Paul (R-Ky.) has filed against President Barack Obama and leaders of the NSA and FBI, claiming they have violated the Fourth Amendment by collecting and storing massive amounts of America’s phone data. “I expect this case to go all the way to the Supreme Court and I predict the American people will win,” Paul said in a statement. The phone data was collected under Section 215 of the Patriot Act, but Rand’s complaint asks that the practice be declared unconstitutional and immediately stopped, and that information gathered thus far be purged from all databases.
