Class Action Suit Filed Against Target For Massive Data Breach

A databreach at Target Corp.left 40 million debit and credit cards vulnerable to attack, and one shopper has already filed suit. Jennifer Kirk is looking for others to join in the class action suit, which accuses Target of failing to implement and maintain reasonable security procedures for the scope of its data collection methods. The lawsuit also criticizes Target for posting a notice about the data breach on its corporate site, rather than the site shoppers use to browse and purchase items from the chain store.
