OSHA Whistleblowers Can Now File Online

The form is simple; violations can be alleged by checking a box. Previously, a complaint had to be filed in writing or by a phone call to the agency’s hotline or to a regional office. OSHA has investigatory authority for the whistleblower provisions of 22 statutes, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the Dodd-Frank Act, the Surface Transportation Assistance Act and the Clean Air Act. The online system went live on December 5.
