Apple Paid $60M To Outside Counsel In Samsung Suits

Though the company was awarded nearly $1 billion through jury verdicts in its patent infringement cases against Samsung, recent filings reveal Apple paid about $60 million to its outside counsel. Apple has asked that Samsung pay for $15.7 million of those legal fees, on top of the $930 million Samsung must pay as a result of the two-year process, which saw a trial and then a damages retrial. Most of the $60 million in legal fees went to Apple’s main law firm, Morrison & Foerster.
