Hospital Sued When Overworked Nurse Dies In Car Accident

The husband of a nurse who died in a car accident while driving home from a 12-hour shift has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the Cincinnati hospital where she worked, claiming she may have fallen asleep at the wheel because she was overworked. The suit says the hospital was understaffed and regularly called in nurse Beth Jasper on her days off, as she was one of the few nurses qualified to work a dialysis machine.
