OSHA Investigating Rise in Cell Tower Deaths

With 2013 shaping up to be one of the deadliest years ever for cell tower workers, federal regulators are considering a new approach to policing tower climbers and examining the role cell carriers may play in accidents. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating industry practices after a worker who fell from a cell tower last weekend brought the total to 13 workers who either died or were seriously injured from such incidents this year.
