China’s New Shipping Route Is A Game-Changer

Global warming has opened up a “Northeast Passage” through the Arctic Ocean, and China is already using it, cutting thousands of miles and many days off the trip to European markets. The Arctic passage is now sufficiently clear of ice to enable commercial navigation about four months out of the year.
