In the continuing IP battle among top players in the iPhone market, Apple will benefit from one ITC order and a rare presidential veto of another, as well as a favorable determination from an appeals court. But the battle continues, and even in this round the outcome was not altogether conclusive. Commenting on part of one of the ITC findings, a spokesman from Samsung said that Apple “has been stopped from trying to use its overbroad design patents to achieve a monopoly on rectangles and rounded corners.”
